As a senior mechanical designer at Nobleo, you translate the wishes of our customers into technical solutions. Designing and developing the mechanical architecture and layout, as well as defining mechanical subsystems, are crucial aspects of the role. Additionally, designing subsystems and leading the realisation and validation of technical solutions are important tasks. You cooperate with colleagues from other disciplines like control engineering and electronics and report to the project leader.

Your responsibilities

• Implementation of the project plan in consultation with the project leader
• Independent execution of the mechanical design activities from concept to documentation
• Creation of technical specifications
• Development of main and detailed design in Siemens NX
• Execution of calculations for (parts of) the design in Matlab or Ansys
• Teaming up with supply chain partners and taking care in a proactive way that your design can be manufactured according to quality, cost and lead time requirements Proactive collaboration with supply chain partners to ensure your design can be manufactured according to quality, cost, and lead time requirements
• Creation of project documentation conform machine guidelines

What do we expect from you?

• A MSc / PhD mechanical engineering with more than 10 years of working experience in product development
• Theoretical and practical experience with the development of mechanical systems (complete V cycle form concept design to validation) preferably in high tech systems
• Experience in leading a small team of engineers
• Interest or basic knowledge in adjacent fields of mechatronics, such as control engineering and electronics, is preferred
• Able to think at system / conceptual level, but you also work hands-on
• Highly developed analytical skills
• Passion for technology
• Ambitious, proactive and result-oriented
• Flexibility w.r.t. the nature of your assignment and our variety of customers
• Preferably you have an active network in Industry (customers, partners, suppliers)
